How we approach the work

Safes ask for patience, and patience is something we have made part of the company's character. Opening a safe whose combination has been lost is careful, methodical work, done in a way that leaves the safe usable afterwards. Installing one means thinking about the floor, the wall, the humidity and how you will actually use it day to day.

We bring that same steadiness to every other job, whether it is a stubborn mortise lock in an old house or a car door with a snapped key inside. Rushing is how hardware gets damaged. Working steadily, explaining as we go, is how it gets sorted properly.

We look after the door, not just the lock.

Every home has a door everyone actually uses and a door nobody thinks about. The side entrance by the driveway, the door from the garage, the basement walkout: these are the ones that tend to carry the flimsiest hardware and get the least attention. Part of our first visit is walking the whole perimeter with you, so the effort goes where the traffic and the risk really are.

The key you reach for. The door you come home to. Good locksmith work begins with understanding how you use them.

  • Questions welcomed. Ask about the lock, the method, the parts or the reasoning. A good explanation is part of the service, not a favour.
  • Nothing forced that could be finessed. We reach for picks and shims before drills, and we tell you if the lock has left us no gentle option.
  • Swept, wiped and working. Metal filings, drywall dust and old screws all leave with us. The lock is tested from both sides and the key handed over.

How a visit goes

Describe the property, the hardware and what has changed, and the visit starts from what you have seen.

    01

    Walking the door with you

We look at the cylinder, the bolt, the strike, the hinges and any glass nearby, and say plainly which parts are sound and which are thin.

  2. Illustration: the van outside the house, a photo ID card by the front door, then the options laid out and one chosen

    02

    Choosing the level together

A graded deadbolt with a patented cylinder for most homes, rated cylinders and heavier lock bodies for businesses. You pick the doors and the depth.

  3. Illustration: a key turned in the deadbolt of the front door, with a check mark beside it

    03

    Fitting, keying and registering

Cylinders go in, strikes are screwed into the framing, keys are cut from code, and the system is registered so only you can order more.
